A Hike in The Cajorros de Monachil – 8/28/2022

Today we were planning on going on a few hour short hike. It started out really nicely. We ended up walking a lot more than we planned.

We took a bus at 8:30 (we had to get up at seven, which is early for us.) The ride did not have that many twists and turns. Something that was funny was that on the bus there happened to be the exact same people we did our tour of the Alpujaras with. They even were doing the same hike as us.

When we started the hike it was chilly because we were next to a creek. We walked for an hour and a half before stopping to eat a few enpanadas. While we took a break we met a family. They have two daughters. One of them is 10 and the other is 7. Plus they are practically neighbors to us.

Cool ruins along the trail.
Me, Ali, and my mom next to the river.
Sis pics!
Some of the trails were realy tight.
A stream running through the path.
There were lots of trees growing in the path.
A tree that has a lot of bumps in it.
The trees formed dark caves .
There were many briges.
While standing on it you could swing th bridge back and forth.
It was like we were in a canyon.
The mountains made a lot of cool angles.
Big rocks formed caves.
This brige was so big. It probably took 5 minutes to walk across. Plus it was hanging over a waterfall that was some 40 feet below.
There were quite a few people climbing the rock walls around us.
Some of the spots you had to crawl to get past.
We walked more that half the way across this type of landscape.
It was very hot.

We walked for miles in the heat on gravel roads. At least we got to walk with our new friends.

In total we walked 6-7 miles (6-7 Kilometers).
